"Classic" Worship:  Sunday Mornings  9:25am  (50-60 Minutes)

This musically diverse service combines traditional elements of ritual and order with a warm spirit, vital prayer, and theologically progressive preaching.  Though based upon a traditional format, this service ventures into music, acts, arts, and celebrations which carry life-giving energy.  The music accompaniment ranges from pipe organ, trumpet, flute, harp, grand piano, to wooden flute, bells, and guitar.  The Chancel Choir and occasionally the Bell Choir offer their gifts to this service in leading parts of the music.  Communion is celebrated on the first of the month.  Children are offered Christian education about 15 minutes into the service as they exit for class following the Children's Moments.  Sermons from this service are posted to the website usually by noon on Sunday.  Fellowship time follows this service in the lower level.  Everyone welcome!

"Contemplative" Worship: Wednesday Evenings  6:00pm  (40 minutes)

This service offers a chance "to slow down enough for God to catch up with us."  The format is straightforward: simple chants and hymns, interspersed with silence and prayer, a recitation of a lesson or reading, perhaps a short reflection, a period of extended silence for meditation followed by communion and a blessing.  The style of worship could be described as a mixture of Tazié (based upon simple prayer chants which are repeated), Celtic (seeking to blur the lines between the sacred and ordinary), and Quaker in its use of silence/ mediation/ contemplation.  The values of this service: hospitality, simplicity, silence, low-technology, participation, ritual, art, and creativity.  Fellowship time follows this service.  The visitors are always welcome!
