Crocodile Dock VBS 2009
Grace and First United Methodist Churches
Grace church was transformed into a crocodile dock. The forests of moss draped trees and docks were created from cardboard paper and paint. Inflated crocodiles were place in various places and all things were ready for Crocodile Dock to begin. Leaders greeted the 93 excited children. About a quarter of these children were from First UMC. Stories of Moses were told and songs , crafts , games, and activities helped children to “fear not”. The children were encouraged to look for God in their daily lives and share when and where they had “God sightings”.The Mission project was a goal of buying 2 cows through Heifer International by bringing money and playing games or milking a cow. It took many volunteer hours to create this experience for the children to enjoy and remember. We are grateful for all involved.
